Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos. She also loves operas as well as any theatrical performance. When she was 16 years old, she began to sing and study music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began to give her more intense training in singing. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. She performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young musician and student. After relocating in the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in the southern part of California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. The love she has for performing, music, and the arts keep her involved in local activities in both her capacity as an artist and teacher. Ana was a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher in the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able to be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to help younger generations preserve the traditions.
