Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig November 21, 1983) is an American actress who is best known for her roles in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Born in Worthington Ohio she quit high school and moved to Los Angeles with her mother following her divorce from her parents. In 2001, despite her difficulties with money, she was able to secure her first big part in the web-based video series Rachel's Room playing the main character. In 2002 she was nominated to receive an Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murdered Martha Moxley. In 2004, Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television show Lost in which she was the main actor for the first two seasons, and was awarded an Screen Actors Guild Award shared by the entire cast. Grace quit the show in the year 2005, to take on a more significant role in movies, and had a role opposite Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. She starred as a character in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 and Taken (2008) opposite Liam Neeson. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) were her reprises of characters. Grace reprised the role of Shannon for two additional episodes of Lost as well as the show's finale. In 2013, Grace appears in the episode Californianation of the 6th season. She portrays Faith she is an admirer and muse to the celebrities. In 2002, she appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Also, she appeared on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her performance in the romantic erotic comedy drama Secretary (2002) as well as the drama Sherrybaby (2006) each of which resulted in a Golden Globe Award nomination. In the wake of several successful commercial films in 2006 including World Trade Center she received more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). Then, she went on to appear in comedy films and dramas like Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) as well as Will Not Back Down (12). Gyllenhaal composed and directed her first film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The psychological drama won Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival.
